Drop Off Zone
Just a reminder that parents are encouraged to use the Haisla Center for pick up and drop off. The Administration also wishes to thank the District of Kitimat for their contribution of new signs.
The official pick up and drop off area for our school is the Haisla Church parking lot.

Section 189(1) of the motor vehicle act states:
- Vehicles must not park within 6 meters of the approach side of a crosswalk.
- Vehicles must not park on a crosswalk. The fine for this is $40.
Thank you for your support.

We would like to remind you that the main parking lot is now to be used for a “drop‑off zone”… as you enter the lot you will see an area on the right side of the lot that has been designated as a student drop off zone; the students will walk up the painted area to the sidewalk which leads to the front of the school, please do not let your child cut across the parking lot to get to the sidewalk as there may be a fair bit of traffic, and it would be dangerous. We are also asking that parents stay, single file in that area, and that once you’ve dropped off your child that you slowly exit the parking lot; however,
this is not a pick‑up zone….
please continue to use the Haisla Church parking lot if you need to pick up your child after school.
Thank‑you for your support.
